Happy Birthday Connor!

We celebrated Connor's birthday this weekend. He wanted a LEGO themed party. This is what he got...

The invitation

this was separated into individual pieces and mailed (or hand-delivered) with instructions to put it together to get the details of the party.

The weather was p-e-r-f-e-c-t, so all of the activities took place outside.

When guests arrived, they all made guesses.

The winner got to keep the LEGOs.

They each wore a Ziploc bag necklace for collecting LEGOS they received for completing each "level". Those LEGO pieces were to be used for the last activity.

Activity #1: Lego Drop Relay
Teams had to carry a LEGO under their chin and drop it into a jar. The team with the most LEGOs in the jar was the winner.

Activity #2: Sticky Hands
Using "sticky hands", they had to pick up as many LEGOS as they could in 2 minutes. Hilarious!

Activity #3: Balloon Pop
Balloons were tied to each child's ankle and they had to pop a friend's balloon to collect the hidden LEGOs inside.

Activity #4: Tallest Tower
The LEGOs were spread all over the table and they competed against each other to see who could construct the tallest free-standing tower in 2 minutes.

Activity #5: Create and Guess

They had 5 minutes to create an object out of LEGOS for the rest of the group to guess. Some of them were very clever and detailed.

Activity #6: Build a Car

Using the LEGOs in their bags, they were instructed to build a car. This was so cool. They did way better than I woud have!

Then we had cake

I learned that frosting a cake really takes some skill. A skill which I DO NOT have. Aren't those candles cool? Found them on Amazon.

Then the kids raced their cars down our homemade ramp. They loved this!

Favors

I bought both the silicone mold for the chocolates and the candy blocks from Amazon.

Ta-da! Party's over. Afterwards, I said that this party was so easy and took very little effort. I think everyone had a great time.
